Top 5 Strengths

Research by the Gallup Organization shows that the most effective people are those who understand their strengths and behavioral patterns. I believe strongly in this principle and have seen its impact throughout my career.
While experience and acquired skills provide a foundation, I have found that a deep understanding of natural talents offers far greater insight into what drives consistent success. This perspective has helped me make more intentional decisions, adapt to complex challenges, and deliver sustained results.
My Signature Themes assessment identifies my five most dominant talent themes, ranked based on my responses to the StrengthsFinder assessment. Out of the 34 themes measured, these represent my core strengths. By deliberately applying these themes—individually and in combination - I focus on turning talent into strength and achieving consistent, high-impact performance in both my professional and personal pursuits.

Ideation

  • I am fascinated by ideas. To me, an idea is a concept and the best explanation for most events.
  • I am delighted when I discover an elegantly simple concept beneath a complex surface to explain why things are the way they are.
  • My mind is always looking for connections, and I am intrigued when seemingly disparate phenomena can be linked by an obscure connection.
  • I revel in taking the world we all know and turning it around so I can view it from a strange but strangely enlightening angle.
  • I love ideas because they are profound, novel, clarifying, contrary, or bizarre.
  • I derive a jolt of energy whenever a new idea occurs to me.
  • While others may label me creative, original, or smart, I am simply sure that ideas are thrilling.

Responsibility

  • My Responsibility theme forces me to take psychological ownership for anything I commit to.
  • Whether a commitment is large or small, I feel emotionally bound to follow it through to completion because my good name depends on it.
  • If I cannot deliver, I automatically start to look for ways to make it up to the other person.
  • To me, apologies, excuses, and rationalizations are totally unacceptable; I cannot quite live with myself until I have made restitution.
  • My conscientiousness, obsession for doing things right, and impeccable ethics create my reputation for being utterly dependable.
  • When assigning new responsibilities, people look to me first because they know the work will get done.
  • I am selective when people come to me for help, as my willingness to volunteer can lead me to take on more than I should.

Learner

  • I love to learn and am always drawn to the process of learning, regardless of the subject matter.
  • The process is especially exciting for me, often more so than the content or the result.
  • I am energized by the steady and deliberate journey from ignorance to competence.
  • I am enticed by the thrill of the first few facts, the early efforts to practice, and the growing confidence of a skill mastered.
  • I thrive in dynamic work environments where I am asked to learn a lot about new subject matter in a short period of time before moving to the next project.
  • The outcome of the learning is less significant to me than the "getting there."

Achiever

  • My Achiever theme explains my constant need for achievement and drive.
  • I feel as if every day starts at zero, and I must achieve something tangible by the end of the day to feel good about myself.
  • By "every day," I mean every single day—including workdays, weekends, and vacations.
  • I have an internal fire burning inside me that pushes me to do and achieve more.
  • After an accomplishment, the fire may dwindle momentarily, but it soon rekindles and forces me toward the next goal.
  • This relentless need for achievement brings me the energy to work long hours without burning out.
  • It is the power supply that allows me to set the pace and productivity levels for my group.

Activator

  • "When can we start?" is a recurring question in my life because I am impatient for action.
  • I know deep down that only action is real and leads to performance.
  • Once a decision is made, I cannot not act. I am not slowed by the worry that there are still things we don't know.
  • I believe the fastest way to get across town is to go stoplight to stoplight; I will not sit around waiting for all the lights to turn green.
  • In my view, action is the best device for learning. I make a decision, take action, look at the result, and learn to inform my next step.
  • I believe I must put myself out there to keep my thinking fresh and informed.
  • I am pleased by the fact that I will be judged by what I get done rather than what I say or think.
