Fall reminds me that change can be beautiful. The trees let go of their leaves, not with sadness, but with a quiet acceptance of the season. I often find myself pausing to take it all in the colors, the light, the silence – and wondering if there is a lesson in it for us: sometimes, letting go is not an ending, but simply nature’s way of making room for something new.
I once traveled along the East Coast, through Vermont, Massachusetts, and other places, chasing those spectacular fall colors. But over time, I realized I didn’t always have to travel far to find that beauty. I began discovering little pockets of autumn right here in Texas and in the towns nearby. Perhaps beauty has always been closer than we think, we just need to slow down, look around, and notice it.
