Trip to Oaxaca Mexico
Oaxaca officially the Free and Sovereign State of Oaxaca, is one of the 32 states that compose the Federative Entities of the United Mexican States. Its capital city is Oaxaca de Juárez where I got chance to visit. For simplicity when I say Oaxaca, I am referring to the city, not the state.
Oaxaca is in southern Mexico. The state is best known for its indigenous peoples and cultures and which is best reflected in this town.
I visited the city in early February 2025. The weather was pleasant on the day time (70 degrees Fahrenheit) and getting little cold (45 degrees Fahrenheit) in the night. The flight landed on time and the immigration process was very quick. I had to fill up a simple form to declare if I brought anything special which was none. The airport was clean. After collecting bag, I headed out. There were some taxi companies on the side and also some drivers asking where I wanted to go. I headed to a shared ride kiosk. Paid $10 or so for shared ride to Hotel. It took around 40 minutes to reach hotel with some traffic on the way. The van was clean and comfortable.

The first place I visited in the evening was at walking distance from my hotel –
