Service and community have always been core to my journey, rooted in the belief that small, consistent contributions can drive meaningful change. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of dedicating time to projects that uplift, empower, and bring people together, from fostering tech literacy in young minds to driving large-scale civic and cultural initiatives.
This post is a look back at that work – why I do it, what I’ve learned, and why I think more people in tech should find their own way to give back.
Youth Tech Mentorship: Mentored young learners at CoderDojo, teaching foundational programming skills for free to inspire the next generation of problem solvers.
Public Health Support: Mobilized community effort during the COVID-19 pandemic to coordinate vaccination drives, successfully helping vaccinate over 60,000 elderly residents. This is one of the most profound works of my life.
Cultural & Community Events: Served as an organizer for the annual Round Rock Diwali Festival, bringing tens of thousands together to celebrate culture, diversity, and community spirit.
Non-Profit Engagement: Volunteered hands-on operational and event leadership support for various local non-profit organizations.
Regular Blood Donation: Actively donated blood on a routine basis to support local healthcare critical-need supply.
